During a recent visit to the Rasina District, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić unveiled a series of significant infrastructure and development plans aimed at revitalizing the Brus municipality. He announced an investment of approximately €6 million dedicated to the reconstruction of roads, with the goal of paving 15 kilometres by the end of October. This initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance road access for nearly every village within the municipality, ensuring better connectivity for residents and businesses alike.
Vučić also shared that preparations are underway for a crucial water-supply project in the area. The Vignjište water-supply initiative, valued at €2 million, is slated to commence by the year’s end, promising to improve the region’s water infrastructure significantly. Furthermore, the president revealed ongoing negotiations with a potential investor interested in establishing a new factory in the area, which could potentially generate around 200 new jobs, providing a substantial boost to the local economy.
In a bid to support local enterprises, Vučić visited an organic fruit-processing company where he discussed opportunities for businesses to secure government aid. This assistance includes non-refundable funding of about €42,000 for machinery purchases, alongside loans from the Development Fund that feature fixed interest rates ranging between 2–2.5 percent. These measures are designed to foster growth and innovation among local businesses, bolstering the region’s economic prospects.
Additionally, Vučić announced his upcoming participation in the inauguration of a new robot factory in Šabac, scheduled for August 29. This event marks another step in Serbia’s ongoing efforts to advance its industrial capabilities and embrace cutting-edge technology. The president’s commitment to attending the factory opening underscores the importance of such developments in driving economic progress and creating new opportunities for the Serbian workforce.
