Ryanair has announced September and October flights starting at £14.99 for routes including London to Castellon, Barcelona, and Valencia, with prices in November and December beginning at approximately £19.99.
EasyJet is not far behind, offering more than 780,000 seats at discounted rates, with selected routes boasting reductions of up to 20%. Travelers can find fares such as Gatwick to Alicante, Bristol to Malaga, and Luton to Barcelona from £18.99, while some October flights to Palma are available from £15.99. Meanwhile, Wizz Air is strengthening its foothold in Spain by launching new bases in Valencia and Madrid this November, which is likely to intensify competition with Ryanair.
Spanish airlines are also entering the fray with aggressive pricing strategies. Vueling is offering up to 20% off on 110,000 seats, with international fares beginning at €16. Iberia offers domestic flights starting at €24 and selected European destinations from €29. Air Europa is celebrating its anniversary with a sale that sees fares starting at €25. These cuts are primarily targeted at stimulating demand following the bustling summer travel period.
Despite the attractive prices, travelers should be aware that the lowest fares typically cover only a small under-seat bag, with additional costs for seat selection, cabin luggage, and checked bags. Travel experts advise comparing flight options on flexible midweek dates, especially in October, November, and January, when ticket prices are usually lower compared to peak holiday times.
